Anton was buried 10/8/1930 in Princeton, at St. John's Catholic
Church Cemetery. (Dave and Mary visited 8/88)
OBITUARY ANTON MASHOCK: - "Anton Mashock, pioneer
resident of the Town of Neshkoro, passed away very sudden at the
home of his son, Joe Mashock, on Monday, Oct. 6. Apoplexy causing
his demise.
Mr. Mashock was born in Poland, Germany, Dec 25, 1833, and had
attained the age of 96 years, 9 months, and 11 days. He came to this
country in 1871 and first settled in the state of New Jersey. Later
came here and took up residence on a farm in the town of Neshkoro,
Marquette county. He was united in marriage with Miss Agnes Yess
who preceded him about 50 years ago. His second marriage occurred
with Mrs. Dreger, who also preceded him. To his union ten children
were born: Mrs. Frank Cujak, Berlin; Mrs. Jake Cujak, Princeton;
Mrs. O. J. Bush, Los Angeles, California; Stanish, on the old
homestead; Joe, Neshkoro, and Mike. Four children preceded him.
.... The funeral services were held at the St. John's Catholic
church last Wednesday morning. Interment was made in church
cemetery, Father Thos. Jankowski, his pastor, officiated.
He leaves his children, 28 grandchildren and 15 great
grandchildren."
