Some records indicate that Jacob was born in Mecan, Wisc.
However, I believe he arrived at age 4 from Poland. He was a farmer,
retired in October, 1918, after 35 years of farming. He enjoyed
drinking, and socializing with his sons.
Married at Saint John's Church in Princeton, Wisc.

Thursday, September 16, 1937: - JACOB CUJAK - On Saturday
morning, September 11, occurred the death of Jacob Cujak (known as
Silke), 81 at his home in Princeton. His death was caused by dropsy.
Mr. Cujak was born in the town of Mecan, July 25, 1856, and at
the time of his death had reached the age of 81 years, ? months, and
17 days. He spent all of his early life in the town of Mecan, and was
married to Miss Antonette Mashock at St. John's Church here, October
11, 1883, by the Rev. Rogozinski. To them were born nine children.
In 1920 Mr. Cujak retired and he and his wife moved to Princeton
where they have since resided. On October 11, 1933 they celebrated
their golden wedding anniversary.
Those who survive are his widow; four daughters - Agnes (Mrs.
John Soda) Markesan, Regina (Mrs. W. Langford) Milwaukee, Helen
(Mrs. Joseph Modglin) Racine, Marie (Mrs. Earle Norton) West Allis;
five sons - John, town of Shields, Mike, Fond du Lac, Peter, on the
homestead, Jake, Princeton, and Joseph, of Middleville, Mich.; two
brothers - Frank , of Berlin, Stanish , of Princeton; two sisters, Mrs.
Elizabeth Schrey and Mrs. Anton Chier of Princeton; and ten
grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Cujak were held Monday, September 13,
at the St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Jankowski
officiating. The pall bearers were his nephews - Anton, Albian, and
Raymond Cujak, Joseph Chier, Joseph Kollat, and Peter Schrey.
Lucile, Isabelle, Georgia, and Domciel Cujak, and Angeline and Esther
Michalowski acted as flower girls.
Out-of-town attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Anton Chier, Mr. and
Mrs. Anton Cujak, Mr. and Mrs. A. Cujak, Frank Cujak, Mrs. Frances
Cujak, Joseph Kollat, Peter Schrey, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chier, Mr.
and Mrs. Raymond Cujak and daughter, Mrs. Sophie Cujak, Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Langford, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph Modglin, Racine, Mr.
and Mrs. Earle Norton, West Allis, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton and
daughter, Ripon, Stanish and John Maschock, Montello.
Jacob died of chronic myocarditis according to his death
certificate.
