Diane Elizabeth Gilles, Daughter of Howard William Gilles and Joyce Elizabeth Buck, graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1966. She then worked on the Wisconsin Legislative Budget Staff for two years prior to moving to the West Coast where she held various positions in advertising and banking. At the time of her retirement in January, 1991, she was Vice President/Director of advertising and public relations at North American Mortgage Company, Santa Rosa, California. She lived in Tucson, Arizona from March, 1992 until December of 1993 when she moved to Middleton, Wisconsin. Diane was an accomplished pianist and had recently been accepted into the Allegro Club of Madison. She was also a member of the AAUW Book Club, Newcomers Club, Bosom Buddies and the Unity Church of Madison.
