According to her death certificate (obtained April, 1987), Jennie
Lee was 76 years, 3 months, and 5 days at the time of her death. She
died of Angina Pectoris. C. V. Hughes was the informant.
Obituary in Milwaukee Newspaper: COE, Jennie Lee, Mer 14 at 7
p. m. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C. V. Hughes, 1504 S.
81st st. aged 76 years. Services Saturday, Mar 16. at 2:30 p. m. from
Oelerich Funeral Home, 1603 S. 81st st. under the auspices of the West
Allis chapel No 172, O. E. S. Entombment at Forest Home, In state
Saturday from 10 a. m. until time of burial.
Article in same newspaper: Mrs. Jennie L. Coe, 76, a pioneer
Wisconsin resident, died Thursday afternoon of a heart attack at her
home, 1504 S. Eighty-first st. She lived for many years in Oshkosh
before coming here 10 years ago. She was a member of the Eastern
Star and the Rebekah lodge. Two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Hughes of
Milwaukee and Mrs. John Fett, Los Angeles, Calif. and a son James A.
Oshkosh, survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m.
Saturday at the Oelerich funeral home, West Allis. The body will be
placed in the Forest Home chapel vault.
We discovered in December of 1987 that Jennie was buried in
Forest Home Cemetery (Chapel vault #10) for a short time. Her remains
were transferred to Oshkosh cemetery in December of 1935.
