Nelson at Prairie Farm, they farmed in the Prairie Farm area until her husband's death in 1945. Mrs. Nelson was a resident in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for seven years, moving to the village of Prairie Farm in 1971. She returned to Milwaukee to live with her daughters for several years before moving to Pioneer Home in Prairie Farm in 1989. She was a longtime member of United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm and a charter member of the Hope Circle. She was also a member of the Prairie Farm American Legion Auxillary.
