• Notes

  Her early life was spent in the Wolcott-Morrisville area. First married to James Hewitt, they had one daughter. After her marriage to Louis she lived in Montpelier until about 1961 and together they operated the Lesperance Nursing Home in Montpelier for 17 years. They spent about six years in Pennsylvania, returning to Central Vermont due to ill health. She died at St Jude Nursing Home in South Barre where she had been a resident for about three years.
