  His early life was spent in North Wolcott and Worcester where he was educated. Both marriage certs show "Artie Earl"; his obit, death cert, headstone and Social Security records all show Earl. He later moved to Montpelier where he was a self- employed trucker and handyman. With members of his family he built and operated Danceland Pavillion in Wrightville, VT. At his death he was involved in a small vegetable stand in Calais.
