Elias Wilder, lived in Dummerston, Vermont, and had a large family, of whom we have obtained knowledge of but one. Mrs. Olive Waterman wrote in 1875, that her father's name was Charles, and that he had brothers, Charles, Joshua, and Aaron, and that her brother Charles lived in Brattleboro; all of which could be true only of Elias, youngest son of Nathanael of Petersham. Charles, the son of Elias of Dummerston, was in Brattleboro when she was born in 1794, and that year signed a petition for a road to be laid out in the district where he lived.
