  [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 7, Ed. 1, Tree #4588, Date of Import: Aug 24, 1997] Gardner Wilder,9-3, (184) son of Gardner Wilder,8-2, (47) and Mary Phelps, (181) of Buckland, was one of the first settlers of Buckland, Massachusetts, and his son Gardner was the first male child born in the town. In the year 1878 they had traced of his lineage over sixty names of whom, or connected with whose families, are four ministers and two physicians; some are mechanics, but they were chiefly farmers. Thomas Warner, a lumber dealer at that time, and an enthusiastic numismatist, of Cohocton, Steuben Co., N.Y., is, by his mother, one of this line. They were found in Buckland and Charlemont, Massachusetts; in Steuben and Livingston Counties, N.Y.; and in Michigan.
