Benjamin Wilder, (77). son of Ebenezer Wilder and Mercy Houghton, was a farmer at Lancaster. By the following record, signed April 19, 1750, Benjamin and his sister sold their interest in their maternal grandfather's estate to their brother: "Benjamin Wilder of Lancaster, Yeoman, Jonathan Wilson of Leominster and Hephzibah Wilson, his wife, all in County of Worcester and Province of Massachusetts Bay in New England ... for 120 Pounds Old Tenor ..... paid by David Wilder of Lancaster ..... grant ..... all our right, title and interest to ye Estate which our honored grandfather John Houghton Esqr. and our uncle William Houghton late of Lancaster died seized and posessed of .... " This record was also signed by Joseph Wilder Jr., Justice of the Peace.
