  [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 2, Ed. 1, Tree #5006, Date of Import: Apr 26, 1997] Resided in Dedham, County Essex, England sometime after 1534. It is probable that he settled there as a wool merchant soon after completing apprenticeship, having come from County Suffolk since he bore the Suffolk Sherman coat of arms. According to Frank Dempster Sherman's notes (FDS20) Henry was a clothier in Colchester, County Essex, England. Some sources believe that Henry's parents are Thomas SHERMAN and Jane WALLER, but this was disproven. Second marriage to Marian SMYTH Wilson (widow of Edmund Wilson) on June 5, 1581 at Dedham; third to Margery Sherman.
