| 2097 | WILLIAMSTOWN - Clinton L. Bell Sr., 51, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. Born Dec. 26, 1959, in Hartford, Conn., he was the son of Lawrence Bell Sr. and Maybelle Ditcham. He attended local schools and worked for AT Transmissions in Barre as a mechanic and for Gendron Contractors in Montpelier. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. Survivors include his son Clinton Bell Jr., of Williamstown; two brothers: John Bell, of Minot, N.D., and Edward Bell, of New Hampshire; five sisters: Margaret Surprenant, of Minot, N.D., Janet Bell, of Montpelier, Rose Willis, of Barre, Karen Machell, of Williamstown, and Lynda Bell, of Barre; his companion, Cynthia Hall, of Williamstown; and five grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son, Justin Robar; a brother, Larry Bell Jr.; and two sisters: Joyce Sanborn and Patty Bell. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St. in Barre. There are no calling hours. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society , 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
